How to use Yahoo! email Bookmarks

One of the best features of Yahoo! email is its “bookmarks” section. If you go to the front page, you will see a list on the left side. In this list is “bookmarks”. If you are not on the front page; and do not see the list, select “Yahoo” from the top right list; Then select “bookmarks from the left side list. I have 5,571 bookmarks listed in my list of bookmarks. To use the bookmarks, select “add” in the top central list. Fill out the url in the top box labelled “enter Url”. I usually go to a website, highlight the address box at the top of the screen; copy the address of the website you are visiting [such as http:www.contact.com]; then paste the address in the “enter url” box. The second box is for a few word description of the website such as “used car sales”. Use that box to describe the website you are entering. I use folders in the place of just entering a website url.To do that, simply determine what name to give to a folder. It is best to use folders in place of simply entering a bookmark. Some folders I have are names of people [such as "Mary Keith"], names of companies [such as "Dow Chemical"], general descriptions [such as "Friends"], and other names. After entering the url and other data in the “add a url” box, save to the bookmarks or a folder by selecting the “uncategorized” box under the description box labelled “Enter title of bookmark”. Select “save” and you are finished. Your Folders will appear to the left side of the screen. I have over 100 folders; so I do not know the maximal folder quantity you may have. A very good use for folders is to use a folder for an individual friend with his or her name on the folder.
